The United Kingdom’s Gaming Commission imposed a £620,000 penalty on 10Bet, a well-known internet wagering site, for failing to meet its social responsibility and anti-money laundering obligations. Blue Star Planet Limited, the corporation that owns 10Bet, agreed to pay the significant sum—roughly $748,000—and pledged to donate it all to a charitable organization as part of a settlement.
It appears that 10Bet’s systems for maintaining integrity and safeguarding susceptible individuals had some flaws. This came to light during a compliance review in June 2021, which prompted a more thorough investigation by the Gambling Commission. They discovered that 10Bet was not precisely adhering to the regulations regarding anti-money laundering procedures and responsible gambling policies between November 2019 and June 2021.
A United Kingdom-based firm, Blue Star Planet Ltd., avoided a substantial penalty by consenting to a charitable contribution of £620,000. This resolution with authorities is accompanied by a supplementary fee of £3,571.25 to defray the expenses incurred during the inquiry.
