The Isle of Man-based iGaming software provider, MicroGaming, has declared that it will be ceasing operations of its MicroGaming Poker Network (MPN) in 2020. This follows 16 years of operation.
The decision was reached after a comprehensive examination of their product line and strategic plan. John Coleman, the CEO, stated that the network structure no longer aligns with their vision for the future of poker.
Further details regarding the closure will be unveiled shortly, but players will still have access to online competitions, promotions, and cash games for the present time.
Coleman remarked, “The network model is no longer in harmony with our strategic vision for poker, and now is the opportune time to announce the closure as we concentrate on redistributing key resources and personnel across the company.”
He also emphasized that MicroGaming will continue to provide poker games, stating, “Although the network will be closing, this does not signify that MicroGaming will no longer offer poker games. MicroGaming is dedicated to crafting the most enjoyable entertainment experience and leading the way with top-tier gaming content.”
This adjustment will assist organizations in achieving their objectives. We’re embarking on a fresh path with our enterprise, and we’ll divulge further specifics shortly.
