UK Gambling Authority Investigates FSB Technology Over Regulatory Concerns

The UK Gaming Authority has initiated an examination of the permit held by FSB Technology, a provider of white label and gaming platforms, due to regulatory worries. The Authority stated that the review was initiated under Section 116 of the Gambling Act, which grants the regulator the authority to launch investigations if it suspects that license terms have been or are likely to be violated. The Authority may also initiate an investigation if it believes that the licensee may not be suitable to conduct authorized activities, or if it believes that any individual associated with the licensee has been found guilty of a crime in the UK or elsewhere. FSB stated that it has halted operations of the Blackbet white label site it operates for operators in the Nigerian market. However, it added that this will not prevent operators from making payments to customers. A statement on the Blackbet website informed customers that any unsettled wagers would be invalidated after 23:59 on August 27. Blackbet is the second FSB white label partner to shut down in recent weeks, after 1xBet’s UK site was forced offline earlier this month.

A journalistic inquiry has alleged that the operator engaged in advertising on prohibited online platforms.

The operator refutes these accusations, attributing them to third-party marketing collaborators.

The FSB declined to provide a statement regarding the Gambling Commission’s examination. In addition to Blackbet, the operator manages 12 white-label domains under its permit, encompassing websites for partners such as Genting and DafaBet, as well as independent betting establishments like Toals and JenningsBet.
